Pine Bluff, Arkansas-based Simmons First National Corp. (Nasdaq: SFNC) made a $17,500 donation to CoxHealth.
The donation is earmarked for the CoxHealth Foundation's COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund for patients and front-line care providers, according to a news release.
“Community is what Simmons Bank is all about, just like CoxHealth,” said Doug Parker, regional community bank president of Simmons Bank, in the release. “It is a privilege to be able to support families during a time of need.”
The CoxHealth Foundation fund pays for personal protective equipment, need-based financial assistance for patients impacted by COVID-19 and construction of emergency care structures, among other expenses.
CoxHealth this year has also received $700,000 and $200,000 donations from Prime Inc. and The Sutherland Foundation, respectively, for COVID-19 expenses.
