Project description: A new Community Development and Public Works Building is underway for Republic Builds, the city’s all-in-one development office. The design includes vehicle maintenance bays, shop space, offices, conference rooms, locker rooms and equipment storage. The one-story, preengineered metal building features decorative horizonal panels and a freestanding entry canopy, according to project officials. City of Republic officials say the L-shaped building has one wing for planners, inspectors and engineers and the other for Public Works staff – about 50 workers. Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective is the project architect and mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Additional engineering work is by Olsson Inc., civil, and Miller Engineering PC, structural.
