Project description: Mercy Springfield Communities is replacing its Mercy Clinic Family Medicine – South Creek clinic with a new building that is 1,500 square feet larger. According to a Mercy spokesperson, the new clinic will include a blood draw area, two procedure rooms and five additional exam rooms for a total of 11. Several of the exam spaces will have exterior entrances and private restrooms to allow patients with contagious illnesses to avoid waiting rooms. The building also uses centralized workstations. HFG Architecture (Wichita, Kansas) is the project architect. Engineers are Olsson Inc., civil; Imeg Corp., structural; and Horner & Shifrin Inc. (St. Louis), mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
