Description: Mercy Springfield Communities is adding an emergency department to its south campus of Springfield. Project officials say the 17,250-square-foot building will be attached to the Orthopedic Hospital and provide emergency care primarily to residents in Ozark, Nixa and Republic, relieving the emergency demands at Mercy Springfield Hospital’s main campus. Health system officials estimate 15,000 patients a year will receive care at the south campus.
