Description: The first example of net-zero energy, multifamily affordable housing for Phoenix is on track via 12 two-story townhome-style buildings providing 72 homes geared toward couples and families with children, project officials said. Amenities will include a clubhouse, pool, playgrounds, covered parking and on-site management and maintenance. Efficiency elements include fully electrified buildings, xeriscaping and photovoltaic panels on rooftops and pool canopy to offset electric usage. Each residential building is planned to reduce electric and water usage beyond Energy Star and Enterprise Green Community certification levels.
The first southwest Missouri location of EarthWise Pet, a national chain of pet supply stores, opened; Grey Oak Investments LLC relocated; and Hot Bowl by Everyday Thai LLC got its start.
