East Hanover, New Jersey
The Funplex in northern New Jersey features an indoor go-kart track, amusement rides and games, a 14-lane bowling alley and a six-lane VIP bowling lounge. The VIP lounge plays off a modern industrial vibe, while the main area picks up on a vintage New Jersey shoreline amusement park, according to project architect Nathan Rapp of Insight Design Architects LLC. The 35,000-square-foot remodel includes electrical work by Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and Blanchard AE Group LLC (Lawrence, Kansas), mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The project, with undisclosed costs, is set for completion in May.
