U.S. Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Missouri, has introduced an aviation infrastructure bill called the Modern Skies Act.
The bill seeks $30 billion for air traffic control, airport towers and airport terminals.
Of the total, $10 billion would go toward aging terminals; $10 billion would fund air traffic control modernization; and $10 billion would help make terminal, tower and airport improvements.
