Colby Keeth became a partner at Spectrum Accounting at age 30 and has continued to carve a niche as a transformative leader in the industry. Keeth has helped steer the firm, which started with only two employees, through modern, technologically driven operations, introduced training programs, and led the adoption of innovative software, enhancing efficiency and service delivery. These initiatives, along with creating a workplace that encourages learning and development, enabled staff growth and client expansion without mergers or acquisitions.
Keeth is also involved in community work at Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southwest Missouri, where he serves as board treasurer, and the Springfield Westside Optimist Club, where a fundraising record was set while he was president.
Your first job? My first job in high school was laying brick. It was after doing that for one summer that I decided I needed to go to college.
Best productivity hack? Get to work as early as possible and knock out the most difficult task of your day first.
Best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Under promise and over deliver. Set reasonable expectations and then work hard to exceed them.
Favorite hobby or creative outlet? If it is outside of tax season and I’m not at the office, you can likely find me at the golf course.
Local officials aim to involve more businesses for job training.
