Ten years ago, David Ross wasn’t considering starting his own company. Things changed in 2017, when he exited Morelock-Ross Builders and co-founded Ross Construction Group with his brother.

“I always had my sights set on leading a company,” he says of his younger self. “At that time, starting a new company wasn’t really part of the thought process.

“We definitely feel that we made the right decision.”

Ross Construction Group has since completed around 40 projects, with another dozen that he says are in progress, including the Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co. expansion on North Packer Road. Employing 19, the company’s work is 80-85% subcontracted.

Beyond work, Ross welcomed another child in 2012, and he’s now the father of three who are 13, 11 and 7 years old.
