Project description: A tornado saferoom made of precast concrete will also serve as a gymnasium and auditorium for Springfield Public Schools’ Mark Twain Elementary. The addition features multiple basketball goals, extendable bleachers, and a volleyball court and stage. Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is the project architect. Engineering work is by Toth and Associates Inc., structural and civil; and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Moseley’s Discount Office Products was purchased; Side Chick opened in Branson; and the Springfield franchise store of NoBaked Cookie Dough changed ownership.
