Microsoft signs carbon dioxide removal deal

Microsoft has signed a carbon dioxide removal deal with Swedish energy company Stockholm Exergi.

The Swedish company has been hired to permanently remove 3.3 million metric tons of carbon dioxide for Microsoft.

Stockholm Exergi intends to build a carbon capture and storage project as part of the deal.
