Downtown Springfield's Hotel Vandivort is transitioning to new management.
Denver-based Sage Hospitality Group is taking over management of the 305 E. Walnut St. hotel, according to a news release.
Hotel Vandivort, which previously was managed by IDM Hospitality Management, continues to be owned by local brothers Billy and John McQueary, said Anna Stancioff, senior corporate director of public relations and brand communications for Sage Hospitality Group.
Through the agreement, Hotel Vandivort also will be a part of the Sage Independent Hotel Collection. The collection comprises 18 hotels, including Hotel Vandivort, said Stancioff.
"Hotel Vandivort embodies the spirit of Springfield," said Daniel del Olmo, president of hotels and restaurants at Sage Hospitality Group, in the release. "The hotel combines sophisticated design and elevated service with authentic Midwestern hospitality. It is a natural complement to our growing portfolio of luxury lifestyle hotels."
Stancioff said Hotel Vandivort's day-to-day staff would remain in place.
"Through this partnership, the hotel team will now have full support and strategic guidance from Sage’s corporate operations team and centers of excellence," Stancioff said via email. "The team will have access to best-in-class systems and processes, allowing them more time to delivering exemplary service to hotel guests."
Sage Hospitality Group also will provide management services for Hotel Vandivort's The Order restaurant and Vantage rooftop bar.
Springfield event venue Belamour LLC gained new ownership; The Wok on West Bypass opened; and Hawk Barber & Shop closed on a business purchase that expanded its footprint to Ozark.
