Domino's franchisee A&M Pizza Inc. is planning a new restaurant on South Campbell Avenue.
Franchisee Art Hurteau said demolition is expected this week at 4021 S. Campbell Ave., where a Simmons Bank branch operated until its closure last year.
"Demo will begin in a few days, if not today," Hurteau said via email, noting the goal is to have the restaurant up and running by the end of December.
The 2,600-square-foot restaurant would replace A&M Pizza’s nearby Domino's at 230 E. Republic Road, Hurteau said.
The new free-standing building on South Campbell is designed with two pick-up windows, he said, noting the company's investment total in the project has not been finalized. Recent store openings by A&M Pizza have been around $1 million, according to past reporting.
A&M Pizza in the past year moved its Domino's restaurant in Republic, opened its first store in Willard and added a location in Marshfield.
Hurteau and Marty Prather of A&M Pizza operate more than 30 Domino’s stores in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas, according to past reporting.
