I wish we knew why folks are for or against them. For me, I recognize the drain on resources, but I also think that AI will be an important part of our daily lives and an inevitable part of the future. The SGF/Ozarks area is always trailing in adapting and adoption. I feel the local resistance to change and progress will lead to less opportunity and more stagnation.
I feel we need more information re: everything from employee impact to environmental/community impact. I've heard about water usage but not about what the usage would be or condition after use and where discharge would go. This is just one thing that would need to be considered and explored.
Ya'll are idiots. you have those that literally ran off a developer for the lot next to mercy. Are still complaing about the residential development at the other vacant lot beside a couple of cox buildings where the soccer field is. Now its oh no AI is gonna destroy our lives and resources. Ya'll want the big cities of the north but SGF will never get there if you fight the city and the developers that come in.
