Local construction industry leader Sean Thouvenot was tapped to lead the board this year for a statewide industry organization.
Sean Thouvenot, vice president of Branco Enterprises Inc., has been appointed as board chair for the Associated General Contractors of Missouri, according to a news release.
Thouvenot works out of the Springfield office of Neosho-based Branco. The construction company has been a member of AGC since 1986, and Thouvenot has been a board member of AGC of Missouri since its 2015 merger with AGC of St. Louis.
As board chair of AGC of Missouri, Thouvenot will help lead an organization that represents nearly 550 commercial, industrial, heavy and highway contractors, industry partners and related firms in 110 Missouri counties, according to the release. AGC of Missouri has offices in St. Louis, Jefferson City and Springfield.
An updated Lawrence County Health Department facility is under construction in a new development area on the south side of Mount Vernon, according to project officials.
