48%
Audio Acoustics has expanded over the previous five years, leading to 48% revenue growth. Jon Baker says some of that increased business came from expanding its nurse call system sales into Oklahoma. Market growth there led to opening new branch offices in Oklahoma City and Tulsa by the end of 2019. The company in 2020 also purchased the Mood Media franchise – previously Muzak – in Fayetteville and Fort Smith, Arkansas.

ENGAGEMENT
While Baker says customers are the lifeline of the company, it heavily relies on team involvement and group decision-making among its workforce. “Employee engagement and satisfaction is as important to us as is customer satisfaction. We believe the former drives the latter,” he says.

INNOVATION
The company in 2021 installed and implemented personal panic buttons for staff with CoxHealth working in the emergency department and inpatient hospital rooms in Branson and Springfield. The measure was started as an innovative solution to deter incidents of workplace violence against health care workers.

The company operates three primary divisions: The Mood Media franchise provides business music and video services to commercial clients; the audio division designs and installs audio-visual, nurse call, paging and television distribution systems; and Electrosales provides business-to-business distribution of audio-video equipment.
