BREAKING SCHOOL GROUND
Ozarks Technical Community College officials and project partners cut the ribbon on the $7.3 million Republic campus opening Aug. 10. Pictured above, from left, are Republic Administrator David Cameron, donor representative Larry Lipscomb, Missouri Sen. Lincoln Hough, OTC board chair John Gentry and OTC Chancellor Hal Higdon. The Bussey, Cox and Lipscomb families donated the 7.7-acre property, at 584 W. U.S. Highway 60, to OTC in 2015. Rich Kramer Construction Inc. served as general contractor. Officials say roughly 100 students were enrolled for the first semester, beginning Aug. 24. The campus is designed to accommodate up to 1,200 students.
