The lowest average salary people will accept in the United States climbed to $81,822 in March, according to a consumer expectations survey conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
In November, respondents said they would need an average $73,391 salary to take a new job.
Labor Department data shows the typically U.S. worker has a median salary of around $60,000 annually.
