St. Louis aldermen this week declined to grant tax breaks for a proposed hotel project.
Developer Midas Hospitality has had plans in the works to spend $126 million on a hotel in Midtown. Aldermen reportedly questioned the need for the project, and labor unions weren't on board, either.
Midas CEO David Robert told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the project now "looks dead."
