Davenport, Iowa-based newspaper publisher Lee Enterprises, the owner of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, has purchased four newspapers.
The seller was USA Today Co.
Lee Enterprises bought newspapers in South Dakota and Montana. They are the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, the Aberdeen American News, the Watertown Public Opinion and the Great Falls Tribune.
Additionally, USA Today will assume full ownership and operations of the Arizona Daily Star. The company previously ran the newspaper in partnership with Lee Enterprises.
