Strong, Garner & Bauer PC this morning announced two big changes: a new name and a new headquarters.
The company today became Strong Law PC, said Neil Chanter, a 25-year attorney at the firm. The firm additionally relocated this week to Hammons Tower from its 15-year home at 415 E. Chestnut Expressway, he said.
The name change pays homage to company founder Tom Strong, according to a news release. He started the firm in 1976, according to StrongLaw.com.
"Fifty years ago, Tom set the standard for trial lawyers representing injured Missourians," company officials said in the release. "Tom is an icon of his time, and everyone here at Strong Law is extremely proud to recognize the standards Tom set for our profession with this legacy firm name change."
The release indicates shareholders Steve Garner and Jeff Bauer remain active in the firm.
Chanter said Strong Law has occupied 19,000 square feet across two floors – the 17th and 18th – in Hammons Tower. The firm penned a five-year initial lease for undisclosed terms.
Chanter said the space previously was occupied by Husch Blackwell LLP's Springfield office, which relocated to 3810 E. Sunshine St. in 2022.
Strong Law specializes in personal injury cases, according to its website.
A safe room and classroom addition at Willard Central Elementary School will be used by the music, arts and athletic programs for a district that had 4,536 students last year, according to Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education figures, but school officials say enrollment is projected to grow.
