Multidecade rock band The Rolling Stones added a show this summer at Bass Pro Shops' Thunder Ridge Nature Arena.
The July 21 show at the Ridgedale arena will be the final stop on The Rolling Stones' current North American tour, the band announced this morning on Facebook.
Ticket sales for the show are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. on May 31 at the band's website and at Thunder Ridge’s website.
The band's tour shares a name with its newest studio album, called “Hackney Diamonds,” according to a news release from Thunder Ridge.
The release indicates representatives from The Rolling Stones scouted Thunder Ridge during the 2022 Garth Brooks concert at the Ridgedale venue.
“We’re honored to host The Rolling Stones at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena and to showcase the amazing beauty of the Ozarks to music fans of all generations,” Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris said in the release. “The Stones are the most iconic rock and roll band ever and we know they will put on a remarkable show that no one will ever forget. Their appearance will become a part of the history of this beautiful mountain in the Ozarks.”
Bass Pro officials say that Morris has known Rolling Stones keyboard and piano player Chuck Leavell for more than 20 years, and the two have gone fishing together.
A planned Concert for Conservation show at Thunder Ridge on May 21 was canceled due to inclement weather, according to past reporting.
Officials said a grand opening concert with country music singer Morgan Wallen is still scheduled for May 25. Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, Imagine Dragons and Pitbull are among those set for concerts either this summer or fall.
Schools, athletic facilities, businesses and infrastructure are among the featured projects.
