“I’ve had a lot of employees that have given their two weeks notice and it was over things that I didn’t even know about, ” says Lauren Brown, Co-owner of Neighbor’s Mill Bakery and Cafe. Brown, says whether you’re unhappy with your assignments or feel like there’s no opportunities for growth, you should always talk with your supervisor. If they know how you feel, they can try to train you in a different area. Brown says if you are a good employee, your boss will do anything they can to keep you. Don’t quit without giving your employer the chance to change things for you. Brown is a Springfield Business Journal 2019 40 Under 40 honoree.
