Pickleball complex to open in Marionville

A professional-level player is preparing to launch a pickleball complex in Marionville.

Oct. 1 is the planned grand opening date for Pickleball Warehouse, 515 W. Jonathan Drive, according to a news release.

"The launch of our new pickleball facility is a significant milestone for Pickleball Warehouse," said RaNay Riffe, facility owner and a pickleball player and instructor, in the release. "Pickleball is a sport that brings people together, promotes fitness.”

The 18,000-square-foot facility in Marionville, around 25 miles southwest of Springfield, has seven courts and is designed to host tournaments, leagues and events. Pickleball Warehouse also offers professional coaching and clinics.

The cost of the facility was not disclosed in the release.
