Gov. Mike Parson appointed a member of the Pinegar family to a state commission.
Abbi Pinegar-Rose, marketing director for Pinegar Chevrolet in Republic and Pinegar Chevrolet Buick GMC in Branson, was tapped for the Missouri Lottery Commission, according to a news release.
“Being a part of this community has always been a strong value in my family,” Pinegar-Rose said in a provided statement. “Lottery funds help support a variety of education programs that help Missouri students fulfill their individual dreams — dreams that can define Missouri's future and ultimately benefit all of Missouri residents.”
The five-member commission supervises the Missouri Lottery by approving rules and the annual budget, appointing its executive director and advising the director, according to its website.
The Missouri Lottery in fiscal 2020 recorded $1.5 billion in sales. Of that, roughly $333 million was contributed to public education, according to Missouri Lottery data.
In addition to leading marketing for Pinegar Chevrolet, Pinegar-Rose in 2018 co-developed mixed-use Republic development Wildwood Plaza, according to past reporting.
In the news release issued by the governor's office on Feb. 24, Parson also announced the appointment of Lebanon resident Annette Charles to Laclede County public administrator.
