O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) posted a 7% increase in profits during the second quarter.
The Springfield-based auto parts retailer's net income was $715.1 million, which compares with $668.6 million a year earlier, according to a news release. Diluted share earnings increased to 86 cents from 78 cents per share in second-quarter 2026.
Revenue during the quarter was up 8.1% to $4.9 billion from $4.5 billion year over year.
"We are very pleased to report another quarter of strong performance, highlighted by a comparable store sales increase of 6% and a 10% increase in diluted earnings per share," O'Reilly Automotive CEO Brad Beckham said in the release. "Our team continues to consistently execute our proven dual market strategy at a high level and delivered solid growth in both professional and DIY during the quarter."
As of June 30, O'Reilly Automotive's assets were $17.4 billion. The company had 6,695 stores at the end of the quarter, with locations in 48 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada.
ORLY shares were trading at $88.71 as of 10:51 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $82.59 to $108.72 per share.
