Ozarks Dialysis Services
CoxHealth expanded its dialysis services for patients with the May 8 opening of a clinic at 1007 E. Kearney St. The north-side location of Ozarks Dialysis Services is the fourth end-stage renal disease dialysis facility for the health system, according to officials, who declined to disclose startup costs or the five-year lease rate. CoxHealth spokesperson Cary Lynn Nabors said the company decided to lease the 6,732-square-foot building after learning last fall that a dialysis center operated by DaVita Kidney Care Contracting LLC was closing. Nabors said Nurse Manager Morgan Simerson leads the 16-employee clinic, which offers in-center hemodialysis care with a capacity to serve 64 patients per month. The facility helps CoxHealth meet a growing local need in the city, according to officials, as the health system saw demand for dialysis increase by 15,000 treatments a year between 2018 and 2020. Roughly 35% of patients served by Ozarks Dialysis live on Springfield’s north side, Nabors said.

NAI Branson-Springfield
A New York City-based international real estate brokerage returned to the local market June 1 upon opening NAI Branson-Springfield. The venture at 9 S. Boardwalk, Ste. C, is in Branson Landing, said real estate agent Larry Milton, who serves as managing broker for the office. It’s the fifth office opening this year for NAI Global. Milton declined to disclose startup costs for the office, adding the property is owned by NAI, which has a license agreement with Branson Landing owner HCW Development Co. LLC. NAI Branson-Springfield’s services include transaction management for property investors and facilitating land development projects. Milton, who also is Branson’s mayor, has worked as an independent commercial broker in the Branson and Springfield markets for 30 years. NAI Global previously operated in the area through a franchise agreement with NAI Enterprise LLC, an entity launched by the Williams family of businesspeople. Williams closed NAI Enterprise in 2019.

The 417 Willow
With over a decade of experience in floral design work, Stephanie Lender became a first-time business owner after starting The 417 Willow LLC on March 1. Lender said she provides floral arrangements for pickup and delivery, covering occasions such as birthdays, funerals, weddings and parties. While The 417 Willow doesn’t have its own shop, Lender said she sells flowers out of Unique Antiques & Collectibles in Marshfield and The Prickly Antique LLC in Fair Grove, noting she pays an undisclosed monthly fee to house her products in the stores. Startup costs were $25,000, she said, adding more locations for The 417 Willow’s flowers are in the works. Arrangements start at $15, according to its website. Lender, who said she is a floral designer at House of Flowers Inc. in addition to running her new business, has past work experience at Ruth’s Flowers and Gifts in Marshfield and in the floral department at Price Cutter stores in Lebanon, Marshfield and Springfield.
