Teresa Hall, owner of Hall Investments LLC, opened Autumn Corners 55-plus Rental Condos Sept. 19 near the intersection of Fort and Sunset. Eight of the 14 living units have been rented for $1,600 per month. The units are 1,500 square feet and include a two-car garage, lawn care, night security and all utilities paid.

“It’s less stress,” Hall said, “and studies show time and time again that retirement living communities promote good health.”

Hall, who helped develop Creekside Retirement Community on south Fort, received financing from Citizen’s National Bank for the nearly $2 million project. Hours are 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment.

Angelique Chaverri started Intensive Reading Interventions on Sept. 12. Chaverri, currently working on her master’s degree in special education from Missouri State University, charges $250 per child per month for research-based, personalized reading instruction. Initial assessments cost $25.

She works by appointment either out of her house at 211 E. Edgewood or the Learning Lab at 3554 S. Campbell.

Ava and Richard Snyder Aug. 25 purchased Wingstop, 303 E. Battlefield, Ste. C, in Battlefield Plaza. The couple in late June created AR Brooks LLC to acquire the restaurant, which offers nine chicken wing varieties, side dishes and beverages including beer. The Snyders employ eight and acquired the franchise location with an undisclosed amount of financing through The Signature Bank.

There are 253 Wingstop restaurants in the Garland, Texas-based chain. Franchisee requirements include a net worth of $250,000 and residency in the city where the restaurant operates. Hours are 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.–midnight Friday and Saturday.
