Novartis makes offer to buy German cancer drugmaker

Swiss health care company Novartis has made a tender offer to acquire German cancer drugmaker MorphoSys.

Novartis is offering $73 per share, a premium of around 142%.

Novartis also recently announced it's pausing enrollment of new patients in clinical trials for Kisqali, a breast cancer treatment.
