A north-side motel property is under new ownership.
Moreno Group Commercial Realty announced in a LinkedIn post last week that the Springfield company brokered the sale of a 50-room hospitality property along north Glenstone Avenue. While the name of the property was not disclosed in the post, provided photos show the Economy Inn at 2555 N. Glenstone Ave.
Caleb Moreno, president and founder of Moreno Group Commercial Realty, said a nondisclosure agreement prohibits him from naming the buyer and seller.
"The buyer is an out-of-state buyer who has plans to renovate," Moreno said via email. "The hospitality property has been in the original family since the '80s."
Greene County recorder data shows the Economy Inn property transferred ownership to 2601 N. Glenstone Holdings LLC on May 9 from Shri Sai LLC. 2601 N. Glenstone Holdings LLC's business filing documentation with the Missouri secretary of state's office points to an address in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
2601 N. Glenstone Holdings LLC also owns the adjacent Glenstone Place extended stay motel at 2601 N. Glenstone Ave., according to Greene County assessor records.
The properties are over a quarter mile north of the Glenstone Avenue and Kearney Street intersection.
Springfield event venue Belamour LLC gained new ownership; The Wok on West Bypass opened; and Hawk Barber & Shop closed on a business purchase that expanded its footprint to Ozark.
