BRP Architects added Morgan Mateja as marketing coordinator and Taylor Greene and Samantha Hite as architectural interns. Mateja holds a bachelor’s in marketing from Missouri State University, while Hite and Greene both hold master’s degrees in architecture – Hite from Kansas State University and Greene from Drury University.

Health Care
The Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation’s Colonial Springs Healthcare Center appointed Cindy Cain as administrator, Justin Slack as nursing director and Zachary Spaulding as assistant nursing director. Cain, who was interim administrator, has 26 years of experience, including 11 years in social services at Citizens Memorial Hospital and its long-term care facilities. She holds a bachelor’s in sociology from Missouri Southern State University and is a Missouri licensed nursing home administrator. Slack, who is a registered nurse through Bolivar Technical College, has worked eight years in direct patient care and nursing administration – most recently as director of nursing services for Woodland Manor in Springfield. With an RN degree from Texas County Technical College and a licensed practical nursing degree from Bolivar Technical College, Spaulding has 10 years of nursing experience in long-term care and hospital cardiovascular surgery.

Insurance
Barker-Phillips-Jackson Inc. hired Scott Rice as a benefits producer. With insurance agency experience as an account executive, he helps businesses build custom benefits packages.

Nonprofit
Springfield Little Theatre added board members David Argueta, president at Mercy Springfield Communities; John Davis, managing adviser at FORVIS LLP; and Seth Swafford, head of customer experience at Shiloh Technologies. SLT also appointed its executive committee for 2023-24: President Corey Kilburn, attorney at RoundTable Legal LLC; Vice Presidents Joey Powell, public relations/marketing director at Dickerson Park Zoo, and Christine Temple, executive editor at Springfield Business Journal; Secretary Nancy Caughlan Evans, Realtor at Richardson Real Estate/Keller Williams Greater Springfield; Treasurer Davis of FORVIS; and Immediate Past President Luke Simon, regional director with VMWare Inc.

Junior League of Springfield, Missouri Inc. installed its 2023-24 officers: President Samantha Williams, President-Elect Rachel Fuhrman, Secretary Rachel Fortenberry and Treasurer Teresa Ollis. Additional board members are Jennifer Growcock, sustainer director; Rebecca Hilton, nominating chair; Lisa Longwell, communications VP; Daphne Stewart, community impact VP; Heather Trinca, fund development VP; Michaela Steinmetz-Benton, membership VP; and Ann Marie Baker, at-large sustainer member.

Utilities
City Utilities of Springfield promoted Warren Brooks, Krista Shurtz and Kelly Turner into vice president roles. Brooks, a 21-year CU veteran, is VP of electric operations after working as director of electric transmission and distribution; Shurtz, a 16-year employee, is VP of natural gas and water operations, following a stint as director of rates and fuels; and Turner, a CU employee since 2015, is VP of customer operations and communications after previously serving as direct of power generation at the John Twitty Energy Center.

Luke Snow, transmission engineering manager for Toth and Associates Inc., was selected to Electrical Construction & Maintenance magazine’s 2023 30 Under 30 Electrical All-Stars. A professional engineer, he has nearly a decade of experience in the power delivery and utilities industry, specializing in transmission and distribution line design and the deployment of communication facilities for Toth.
