A new CEO is coming on board Marshfield-based Sho-Me Power Electric Cooperative.
Jason Marshall is slated to become CEO and general manager of the regional generation and transmission cooperative on Jan. 15, according to a news release. He'll succeed John Richards, a 48-year employee of Sho-Me Power who has been CEO and GM since 2016.
"Sho-Me Power has been established as a leader over the past 81 years in providing low-cost wholesale power to the nine distribution cooperatives it serves," Marshall said in the release. "I am excited to be part of the team helping deliver not only reliable power to over 170,000 members at the end of the line, but also leading-edge telecommunication services to a large part of Missouri."
Marshall is set to become Sho-Me Power's sixth CEO and GM. He'll join Show-Me Power from Indianapolis-based Wabash Valley Power Alliance, where he's been executive vice president of transmission and regulatory affairs since 2017.
In 2022, Sho-Me Power's operating revenue was $187.4 million, according to its annual report.
