MSU pushes back financial aid deadline

Missouri State University has pushed back its financial aid deadline amid reports of delays with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form.

The deadline has been moved to May 1 from April 1 at MSU, according to a news release.

“Rollout of the federal government’s new FAFSA form has seen several delays and technical errors that have made it difficult for students to complete the form,” said Rob Moore, MSU director of financial aid, in the release. "Students and families have faced challenges that are beyond their control. We hope extending the deadline will ease their concerns and allow more students to qualify for financial aid."

MSU additionally announced the school is changing refund deadlines for its enrollment deposit and housing contract this year to June 1 from May 1.
