Missouri's job market got a bit tighter in February, according to the latest state data.
Last month's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.6%, down from 2.7% in January, according to a news release from the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center.
During February, nonfarm payroll employment rose by 1,800 jobs from a revised January figure.
Manufacturing gained 3,800 jobs, while mining, logging and construction were up by 100, according to the release. Offsetting industries included professional and business services, which was down by 2,700 jobs, and information, down by 400.
The multipurpose arena rising at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds & Event Center is planned to include 6,600 seats.
