The Missouri Economic Research and Information Center recently reported a decrease in the state's unemployment rate.
Last month, the state's jobless rate was 3.6%, down from a revised February rate of 3.7%, according to a news release. The data is seasonally adjusted.
Missouri's nonfarm payroll ranks, however, were down 200 jobs in March compared with February.
Mining, logging and construction gained 2,100 jobs, with manufacturing canceling out the increase, according to the release. Education and health services was among the sectors with increased jobs, at 2,800 total, while trade, transportation and utilities were down by 3,000 jobs.
Payroll employment was up 82,100 jobs in March compared with a year earlier.
