Laredo-area ranchers to invest $1.6B in master-planned community

A Laredo-area ranching family is expected to invest $1.6 billion in a new master-planned community in southern Texas.

The Walker family intends to convert 13,000 acres in an unincorporated area in Webb County, north of Laredo.

Plans call for commercial and industrial manufacturing businesses, thousands of homes and multifamily communities, and an airport, according to Connect CRE.
