he Joplin Board of Education approved an updated salary schedule.
The move came after the Joplin School District negotiated terms with the Joplin National Education Association, which represents teachers, counselors and librarians.
The new salary schedule includes an emphasis on stipends for teachers who oversee extracurricular activities, the Joplin Globe reports.
