A Joplin man has been sentenced to five years and three months in prison for two fraud schemes.
Deaviyon Rockett, 22, submitted nearly $120,000 in fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program loan applications and conducted a bank fraud scheme known as “transaction reversal.”
Rockett defrauded Joplin-area residents of $176,007 through the transaction reversal scheme, which involved the use of people’s bank accounts through fraudulent checks.
