Employers look at the personal social media pages of perspective employees. Glenn Pace, a professor in the management area at Missouri State University, cautions that what you post can have a detrimental effect on your interview chances. “We sometimes are looking for disqualifies, not qualifiers. If you’re not thinking, we need to know that. You may be the next Adonis and so, you may post this all over Facebook, but the employer’s not looking for Adonis, we’re looking for people who have some common sense,” says Pace.
