Kristin Sobolik, the interim chancellor of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, has been approved for the job permanently.
Sobolik was made interim chancellor when former school leader Thomas George retired in September.
"I feel really well-prepared and positioned to help UMSL as an institution and weather this crisis," Sobolik said, referring to the coronavirus pandemic. "We want to continue to align our mission and strategies with what St. Louis needs as a city."
