A groundbreaking ceremony was held late last week for a new $350 million project in Lake of the Ozarks.
Oasis at Lakeport calls for a 402-room Marriott resort and conference center, as well as an 11-ride theme park with a Ferris wheel.
The first phase, comprising the theme park portion, is slated for completion by May 2025.

Under construction beside the existing Republic branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library District – which remains in operation throughout the project – is a new building that will double the size of the original, according to library officials.
