Kirsten Miller, Compliance Manager at Uber, says she likes technology based companies because there are low barriers to entry. On the other hand, she says technology disproportionately rewards employees who display confidence and assuredness more than equally capable but less confident coworkers. Miller says it’s important for employers to consider that men and women perform differently in those situations. “How do we pull those lessons and reward that balance and that bigger picture insight that women can bring to the project and the teams that they work on,” asks Miller.
