Project description: The administrators of nonprofit The Kitchen Inc. are starting the new O’Reilly Family Campus with a 14-unit apartment building to be used as a temporary-housing shelter. “That is the most immediate need,” said Roz Palmer, The Kitchen’s community development manager. On the L-shaped property with frontage on Chestnut Expressway and Glenstone Avenue, a support services office building is slated on the Glenstone side, said Palmer. Jeff Rens, director of properties for The Kitchen, said the campus development is expected to exceed $4 million. The nonprofit plans to relocate from its seven-building, 106,000-square-foot campus on Commercial Street, where Historic Commercial Developments LLC bought the property for undisclosed terms with plans for a mixed-use development.
