Project description: A new facility for Robinson Fence Co. will house most of the company’s operations while a few remain at the current location, 906 W. Chestnut St., off Grant Avenue. Project Manager Lance Garrett of Rich Kramer Construction said 6,600 square feet of the new building will be devoted to office space, with a 20,000-square-foot warehouse and shop consisting of a 110-foot wide clear span interior. The building will include seven 16-foot-square bay doors and five 300,000-British thermal unit heaters, as well as all LED lights. Robinson Fence was started in 1978 as a mostly local fence contractor, turning to commercial and industrial fencing in the early 2000s, according to the company website. The Springfield-based company serves a seven-state area, with a branch office in Dallas, Texas.
