Project description: The bond project currently underway in the Dadeville R-II School District is designed in part to deliver a 5,000-square-foot addition with new classroom and gym space as well as key infrastructure improvements to facilities across the district, according to officials with Crossland Construction Co. They add that the upgrades are designed to support student learning, provide more room for activities and address the district’s most pressing facility needs. The Dadeville R-II School District website states that prior to the passage of the bond issues in April 2025, the district had not passed a bond since 2014, and in the period between, the schools experienced a nearly 50% growth in student enrollment, placing a strain on its facilities with overcrowded classrooms, deteriorating buildings and the risk posed by having students cross parking lots to reach parts of campus. The bonds funding the projects have an estimated value of $1.8 million, according to the district.
