Project description: Sean Coatney of Countryland Homes is constructing the three-building project with commercial spaces and apartments. The largest of the three buildings – at nearly 69,000 square feet – is designed with 10 commercial spaces and 50 living units, said project architect Chris Loehr of H Design Group. The second building, at over 34,000 square feet, is slated for 36 living units, he said, and the third roughly 20,000-square-foot building has 24 living units. All are slated to be three stories. Commercial real estate firm R.B. Murray Co. is listing the property. Coatney said California-based Canyon View Capital also owns the adjacent Old Stone Apartments, and they’ve worked together developing Golden Pond Apartments in Springfield.
Missouri State University’s science building, built in 1971 and formerly called Temple Hall, is being reconstructed and updated.
