Frisco, Texas-based Stonebriar Auto Services LLC is opening its second Springfield Jiffy Lube and simultaneously launching a food drive benefiting Ozarks Food Harvest.

The store at 400 N. Eastgate Ave., adjacent to the east-side Menards, is scheduled to open Nov. 23, according to a news release.

Springfield Business Journal previously reported Chesterfield-based Knoebel Construction served as general contractor for the $1.2 million, 3,500-square-foot project designed by St. Louis-based Casco Diversified Corp. The shop follows the Jiffy Lube Multicare model, with two bays devoted to fast oil changes and two devoted to other mechanical work, including brake, diagnostic and tire services.

Stonebriar's new store adds to its locations in Springfield at 3510 W. Sunshine St. and in Nixa at 516 N. Old Wilderness Road. Stonebriar operates 42 Jiffy Lube stores across the country, according to the release.

All three of its local Jiffy Lube stores are slated to participate in a promotion designed to bring in food donations for Springfield nonprofit Ozarks Food Harvest, according to a separate news release.

Customers who bring in canned food and other requested items will receive discounts at the stores for the promotion that runs Nov. 15-Dec.15.

“We are proud to be part of the Springfield-area community and are always looking for ways to give back,” said Bob Cahill, vice president of operations for Stonebriar, in the release. “It’s our hope that our food collections will help some deserving residents in the area, and we encourage the community to stop in and donate.”
