Joe Lieberman, a former senator from Connecticut, has died. He was 82.
He died due to complications from a fall in New York, according to CNN.
Lieberman was the first Jewish vice-presidential nominee of a major party. He was the running mate of Democratic presidential nominee Al Gore in 2000.
