The former owners of PFI Western Store have purchased a berry farm in Republic.
Randy and Johnelle Little now own Missouri Berries, according to a Feb. 18 post on the company's Facebook page. The terms of the deal were not disclosed in the post.
Danielle and Josh Rogers last year opened the farm, which is south of Interstate 44 and near Hood's Truck Center, according to the company's website.
"As neighbors, we have grown to know the Rogers family and their work ethic and vision. They put a tremendous amount of blood, sweat and tears into this U-pick berry farm," the Facebook post reads. "We intend to continue their vision of enjoying the outdoors in a family friendly, ecofriendly environment."
The Rogers family planted more than 25,000 strawberry plants and 6,000 blueberry bushes on the farm in western Greene County, according to the post. The Littles plan to add blackberries, lavender and pumpkins to the mix.
The Littles in 2021 sold PFI Western Store in Springfield to Cavender’s, a Texas-based retail chain of Western apparel operated by a family of the same name, according to past reporting.
