Former Life360 VP starts business

A former Life360 leader has started a business designed to make it easier for people to have experiences and adventures.

Jeremy Hahn, who formerly served as executive vice president for 501(c)(3) nonprofit Life360 Community Services, the action arm of Life360 Church, announced the formation of Hahn Adventure Co. LLC in a public Facebook post earlier this month.

In an interview with Springfield Business Journal this morning, Hahn said Hahn Adventure Co. has three focus areas:
• short-term rentals;
• events and experiences, such as corporate and birthday parties, and themed events; and
• outdoor adventures, such as float trips and camping.

"We've got a little slogan: taking the pain out of adventure," he said. "A lot of my work over the years here has been about getting kids to experience life. I love seeing kids light up when they've having fun and they're learning along the way.

"Parents and families need to experience that, as well."

On the outdoor adventure side of the business, Hahn said the company can rent equipment to customers, provide recommendations on camping and canoeing, and prepare camping sites with pre-lit fires and food stocked in the cooler.

Hahn, who runs the business with his wife, Liz, hired Kelsey Evans, a former colleague at Life360, to assist with the company, especially the event side.

Hahn said equipment rental, private events and short-term rental packages start at $100, and services range up to $5,000 for all-inclusive group packages.

“We try to be budget- and family-friendly with our pricing,” he said.

Including three short-term rental properties, startup costs were around $500,000 , Hahn said. He noted the company plans to add more short-term rentals.

Hahn, who at his previous job helped launch the Life360 Resource Center at the former campus of Cox Monett Hospital, among other initiatives, said he exited the nonprofit in September to take a sabbatical and focus on starting his business.

"Really, I just love the nonprofit world. I'll continue to consult and support nonprofits, but I wanted to see dreams fulfilled through business," he said. "I think there's a lot of room for that."

Life360 Community Services’ website does not list anyone in the executive vice president role previously held by Hahn.
